Broken Bone Club

Well, I should have known it would happen sooner or later. Seriously, how many people, especially those of us that have spent any time at all in athletics, have gone their entire lives without breaking a bone? I made it 31 years, 2 months and 6 days. Then, I slipped while walking down a hill at Six Flags, and landed awkwardly on my foot. After almost 2 hours in first aid at the park on Sunday, and 6 hours at the doctor/hospital yesterday, I got the confirmation earlier today. It is definitely broken.

The doctor says that I need to wear a hardsoled, close-toed shoes for awhile. I just want to ask her if she's ever broken a toe. Because with this swelling, shoes just aren't happening right now.
